New applications - optoforce force sensor provides three new technical applications for KUKA industrial robots
high-end functional planting/participation in medical materials in the biomedical fieldnews: robot and multi axial force and torque sensor manufacturer optoforce has recently provided KUKA with three new applications. The new applications are manual boot, presence detection and central pointing - all of these applications are targeted at all end users and system integrators
first: manual guidance - with the manual guidance application of Opto force, KUKA robot can easily and smoothly move along the specified direction and selected route. The video specifically explains how to program the robot manually
second: detection - this application allows KUKA robots to detect the presence of specific objects and drill down to analyze objects, even if it has moved
the third kind: Center pointing - through this application, optoforce sensor helps KUKA robot find the center point of the object by providing touch for the robot. This setting is also applicable to optical metal objects, whose position cannot be defined by the vision system
Kos DMTR, CEO of Opto force, said, "the new application developed by opto force for KUKA robot paves the way for the improvement of industrial automation for end users and system integrators." "Our 6-axis force/torque sensors are combined with powerful hardware and integrated software packages, including pre programmed industrial applications. In essence, we have added" touch "to KUKA robot arms, making these robots similar to human hands, and opening up many new functions in industrial automationend users and system integrators will recognize two major business advantages from these new applications. For end users, this development provides new automation functions for objects printed from full-color plastic 3D printing materials of KUKA machine when using these applications - saving inspection and rework resources and reducing manufacturing costs. Automation of precise positioning tasks that previously could not be achieved will translate into higher quality and higher productivity, thereby helping companies become more competitive in the global market
for system integrators, this means using opto force sensors to implement applications, which will enable them to automatically perform complex/precise tasks, and receive supporting chemical products. If they want to open up new market share in this field, they will receive more orders and obtain more customers. Customers are also more satisfied with the substantial improvement of quality
another major benefit is that the software package is a reminder of system integration. What customers are most concerned about is chemicals, because pre programmed applications simplify the process and accelerate it by about 20%. Simplified integration reduces programming and documentation, enabling system integrators to provide faster and more cost-effective services to their customers
